I have started adding pictures being sent to me via email (wardsix@comcast.net). It would be great to get some more so if anybody out there would like to contribute I will make sure to post them. Success!!!

Well, if you were there you know it. The 20th was a GREAT time. If you weren't there, shame on you. You'll get another shot in the year 2012... It was great to see everyone and catch up on the life stories. We all seem to have had our ups and downs but overall everyone I got a chance to talk to seems to be well on their way living a good fulfilling life. It was fun to watch everyone just let loose. I couldn't believe how the party amped up after Brian de la Cruz took over the DJing. I sensed on Friday at the icebreaker that we were all in for a good time. What a weekend it was! I asked people to send me their pictures if possible and I will try to get them up on this blog. Stay tuned for that. My email address is wardsix@comcast.net So, I wish all my 87's good luck and good health. Check back to see the pics and feel free to keep in touch. For all you locals- I'll do what I can to continue to bring Weirton forward as your representative in the city (God help us all, I know!!), good things are coming.

87 Reunion update of 11/10

The reunion committee held their final meeting last Saturday , 11/3. Basically, everything is ready to go. RSVP's have been coming in steadily. There have been a couple anonymous requests to post the names of those that have RSVPed. The committee decided not to post the names. If your schedule permits and you are interested in having a good time by catching up with some people you grew up with, then you should come. If that is not a good enough reason to come, so be it. Since we are about two weeks out, there is not much more to say except that we are looking forward to seeing everyone and hanging out. Don't forget the icebreaker on Friday the 23rd down at Mario's starting at 8pm and that pictures on Saturday the 24th are at 6:30pm SHARP followed by dinner at 7pm. SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!

To respond to the latest comments/questions;

I will more than likely post who RSVPed after Saturday's meeting and this blog is for the Class of 87 Reunion only, not the multi-year one that is being planned by others from different graduating classes. I believe this group has also created some type of blog related to it. I hope this clears up any confusion on either matter.

I received an e-mail/posting (unsigned) asking if the next reunion meeting is going to be held at Mario's. This has yet to be determined, but more than likely, that will be the place-whoever you are. Check back later, I'll keep you posted.

87 Reunion update 9/19

As of today, 3 more classmates were located and removed from the "where the !@#$ are you list" leaving 42 missing classmates. Invitations were stuffed and mailed to the addresses we currently have. We are still actively searching for the missing and time is becoming an issue. Again, any help in finding the 42 would be greatly appreciated. There will be a meeting sometime in October to iron out the last few details of the reunion. Check back later for actual date and time.

87 Reunion update 8/24

The latest update from Susan & Amy has allowed me to remove 14 people and add 2 to the "where the !@#$ are you list". Although we are still having trouble locating about 50 classmates, the reunion committee is kicking things into high gear by getting ready to print the invitations next week. If possible, envelope stuffing will take place the weekend after labor day which would put the first mailing within the first few weeks of September. Until that time everyone will be actively searching for the remaining MIA's. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

The Weir High Class of 87 Reunion Committee is having its next meeting Friday, 8/10 at Mario's Restaurant at 8:30PM. Anyone who would like to help out is welcome to attend.

The committee is still working hard to find addresses for the MIA's on the "where the !@#$ are you list" Because of their detective work, I have just finished removing 11 names from the list and adding two more back on due to save the date cards being returned. Again, if anyone would like to join in the search and/or provide addresses, feel free to e-mail Susan or Amy or leave it for me in the comment section and I will be sure to get it to them...

87 Reunion Update 5/27

Plans are moving forward for the 20 year class reunion scheduled for Saturday, November 24 at the Holiday Inn in Weirton. A possible ice-breaker is in the works for Friday, November 23rd. More details about ticket prices and other useful things like contact information to come shortly so check back.
